Joya Bella, M.Ed.
Joya Bella obtained her undergraduate degree at Rhode Island College in Psychology and Social Work.  She completed her Master of Education degree at Plymouth State University Graduate School and is certified in Special Education K-12.

Mrs. Bella has extensive experience with students, Kindergarten to College with varying learning profiles.  During her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Bella had gained five years of experience as a counselor and social worker in residential and family assistance organizations.  In addition to daily care for children ages 6 - 12, she successfully facilitated positive relationships with parents in coordinating with community resource providers, health care systems, economical needs, and educational planning.

Prior to joining the Green House Group, PA in 2010, Mrs. Bella has been active in providing specialized instruction, assessment, IEP planning/implementation to students as a special education teacher and case manager in the middle school setting.  Her responsibilities included consultation with teachers, administration, parents and specialists.  Creation, implementation and tracking of Curriculum Based Measures to assess and guide instruction.  Collaboration with teachers and student services to ensure a differentiated classroom experience for each student who receives support, across all academics, while encouraging self advocacy.  She also participated in grade level transition planning, coordination and goal setting with students and parents.

Areas of expertise/interest:  Individual learning profiles; School and parent consultation; Special Education/504 processes; Educational Assessment; Learning Disabilities; Executive Function Disorders; Developmental Disabilities; and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders.

Mrs. Bella is a member of the Council of Exceptional Children - NH and National Association of Special Education Teachers.
