Lara Kroodsma, Psy.D.

Dr. Kroodsma received her Master's degree from Argosy University in Honolulu, Hawaii and her Doctorate degree from Antioch University New England.

She has experience in helping children and their families in a broad range of settings, including a community mental health center, a primary care medical practice, and a specialty autism assessment clinic.

She currently provides assessment and treatment services to children and their families who have a variety of challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental delays, behavior disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, trauma/ grief/loss, anxiety and parenting challenges.
Dr. Kroodsma can provide specialized diagnostic, cognitive and neuropsychological assessments to young children suspected of having an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She has an interest in play therapy and is the founder and director of the Green House Group's PLAY Project program.  This program is designed to train parents to use play-based interventions to teach their children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  For more information on the PLAY Project program go to www.greenhouseplay.org.

Health Psychology with Adults
Dr. Kroodsma has an additional interest in Health Psychology practice with adults.  Within this work she helps invidiauls achieve positive health outcomes through behavior change.  These changes help her clients cope with chronic illness and pain, assisting them to make lifestyle changes after being diagnosed wtih conditions such as Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, or Vulvodynia.
Dr. Kroodsma is the author or "Supporting Your Child with Asperger Syndrome, a 9-week parent education program for parents of children with Asperger's Syndrome. She is a member of the New Hampshire Autism Council Screening and Diagnosis Work Group, the American Psychological Association and the National Association of Play Therapy.
