Dr. Thorington received his Masters in Couseling from St. Michael's College and his Doctorate in Education from University of Northern Colorado. He has been in clinical practice for over thirty years with a variety of populations and in different clinical settings.
Dr. Thorington is a NH licensed Psychologist and a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also registered in the National Register of Healthcare Providers in Psychology and holds a Certificate from the American Psychological Association College of Professional Psychology, in Alcohol and Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders.
Dr. Thorington has had specific training in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy with the Albert Ellis Institute, as well as training in Multiple Family Therapy. More recently Dr. Thorington has received training and experience in treatment of the elderly. He has also worked with veterans' concerns, cross cultural issues, teaching and consultation.
